I don't think TM are that much worried - this MP malarky is his payoff.

IMO what he has failed to understand is that he probably won't get elected but this is a failing on his part for still wanting notoriety instead of Bank Balance.

And still to face public questions, at the hustings, about how much he PERSONALLY benefited from the Madeleine 'fund' from people in Brighton who 'donated' to the 'fund' thinking it was only to be used to 'search' for a 'missing' child.

NOT to be spent on mortgage repayments, stays in 5* hotels and litigation cases against anyone who dosen't believe his 'employers' fairy tales!

The last i heard was that he was still on a 'retainer' and salary from the 'fund' to the tune of £28,000 a year.

Whether he 'speaks' for the McCanns or NOT during the year!

And how much tax was 'evaded' from the money HE ASKED people to send in envelopes to the McCanns.

Etc, etc.

Near the end of the interview Clarence Mitchell says this:

"I’d stress as well that the money that people have donated from around the world is only being spent on that campaign, so that anybody who has given money to help find Madeleine need have no fear that their money is being spent on lawyers fees or anything like that."

"and Kate and Gerry’s legal costs and media management in THE SHAPE OF ME that’s all coming from the financial benefactors"

What bloody "campaign" . I'm sick to death of them. They whined for years there was no police force looking for Madeleine, so the "campaign" funded three less than useless sets of investigation firms. Now they have two police forces at their beck and call and they are still bleating on about a "campaign"

I wish I had your confidence margaret. The people who don't trust politicians don't vote. The people who do, do - and it's them I worry about electing him. Wouldn't it be great if we had a list of candidates and a choice to either vote for one or against another. I'd get up and un-vote for Clarence Mitchell then, for sure.

oh for godness sake, please dont tell me this man is running for MP?? Did i understand that wrong? At least it means he will have to cut off the McCanns..the two couldnt possibly be combined..It was why Brown backed out last minute and only offered a 'kind of' informal meeting..(which they rejected)
