This really is the story that keeps on giving. Tractorman is out. Welcome please "The Burglarmen". First of the groups to take the stage. No evidence of course. Not a shred. No motive. None. But a great new lead story and a massive circulation boost.

Just as the lawyers earned their cash last week, so this week the PR crew are earning theirs. Lead stories in sky and the DM combining the narrative: Nasty Portuguese court refusing to acknowledge their pain, when it is clear to all at SY that "The Burglermen" are the abductors.

Did it come from SY? Are Britain's finest really going down this road...? Is this another whitewash candidate being tested on the great British public? Or is it just PR?

And this crack team of burglars. They were targeting what exactly... In holiday apartments... In a family resort.... In low season. Not likely to find the family jewellery, no fancy cars, so a few euros of spare cash? Some old beach towels and a some flip flops perhaps? At best an unguarded iPad.

So not exactly criminal masterminds. And if these petty thieves are disturbed what would they do? Drop everything and peg it down the street of course. There is just NO scenario where they would steal a kid. This doesn't even pass the most basic of common sense test.

But it's a great story for the PR team to plant just before the libel trial has another day in court. And the press just lap it up and rake in the cash. A win win really.

Here is my take on this...
Suppose there were three somewhat shady individuals in PDL at the time Madeleine disappeared.
Suppose, through some connections Gerry had in PDL, one or all of these three individuals had something to do with assisting Gerry to dispose of Madeleine's body.
Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to dismiss SY's interest in them.
Perhaps they actually can shed some light on the investigation.

The title of that article could be shocking for the McCanns. At the begining there were 38 people of interests, none of them belonging to the Tapas. Short after, there were 3 more persons added to the 38 and Redwood did not say they did not belong to the Tapas group.
The article said something went terribly wrong and the 3 abducted Madeleine. Imo, that woke up could be translated in died.

There is the possibility that somebody leaked news to the Mail and that the Yard has evidence that those extra persons are really involved in the tragedy.

I don't understand 1000s of calls coming from such a little village in such a short time.

Oh whoopee. Three burglars, no fingerprints, DNA or any other sign of their existence within the apartment.

Apparently, according to the parents it was so safe and quiet in the evenings. But recalling the list of "suspects" with new ones being added all the time, the place was completely heaving. There were thieves, perverts and miscreants in great hoards by the sound of it, crowds of them all lurking, peering through windows, yakking on their mobiles, hiding in stairwells.

Perhaps the two men allegedly seen arguing on the night of the third were having a barney over whose turn it was to hide in a stairwell. Perhaps they had a rota.

Mr Redwood and his 38 strong team with their £88k holiday bill are starting to look a wee bit silly for allowing this nonsense to continue.
