And that looks like a whole load of empty rhetoric.
Obviously it means that Kennedy is pulling his finances, is too busy in USA, and tries to promote the idea that the one blessing is that the Sharks are on a winning streak which is different from their recently reported losing, but mentions that the current winning streak is like a 'seasonal thing'. Well the game itself is seasonal isn't it ?
Ah, well, looks like Kennedy doesn't always back 'winners' and goes to show that however much money you throw at something, if the characters aren't up to it, it ain't gonna float.

'Academy'? What Academy would that be?
It occurs to me there's an Academy for Sharks which has on its board a wellknown Glaswegian sports lecturer turned cardiologist turned cardiology researcher who's a dab hand at persuading businessmen to invest in speculative ventures and I would have thought hisdubious talents could be utilised by Mr Brian Kennedy.

Use the forum's facility to search 'Brian Kennedy' the businessman as distinct from KM's uncle who is not nearly as rich but is, neverthless, remarkably well-heeled, Rooster.
My guess is the owner of Sale Sharks won't be getting a knighthood for acts of philanthropy to the McCanns.
