Vital holdall goes missingA TENNIS bag that could have been used to move Madeleine McCann's body has gone missing, it was claimed last night.

Dad Gerry was reportedly seen with the holdall as he took up to three tennis lessons a day on the ill-fated holiday that ended with Maddie, four, vanishing.

But the blue sports bag has been lost, according to a shock new TV special on the mystery that is gripping the world.

Police are desperate to trace it to discover if it was used to carry the little girl's body.

Sources say police believe Maddie died in an accident inside the McCanns' apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3.

It is also reported that officers accused her parents of disposing of her body to mask negligence and dodge a manslaughter rap. The McCanns, both 39, deny any involvement in the disappearance.

According to The Madeleine McCann Mystery - a Sky News special on tonight at 7.30 - the bag is vital to the investigation.

But the McCanns' spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: "Gerry's baffled. He's never owned such a bag. There simply is no missing bag. They are entirely innocent."

I know a lot of people don't like Piers Morgan but I do, in so far as I acknowledge and appreciate his unorthodox method of presentation. Not only does he tell it like it is but he dangles the carrot for a reaction, far superior to the sycophantic approach adopted by so many studio sofas.

I know from personal experience that the full-on approach is not appreciated by the masses, they prefer the diluted softly softly approach that is quite frankly non-productive. Okay so it suits the desired effect but when truth is at the core of the subject matter then a direct approach is the only way forward - surely?

Piers Morgan in action..

Watch and listen how he draws the interviewee out of their comfort zone. Exposure at it's finest and the dastardly duo don't even realise they are being duped.

Typical arrogant self-assured reaction to casual questioning - the greatest exposure ever accomplished.

According to the wife Kate McCann. the couple were prostrated by grief, unable to function in the early hours and days yet somehow, not only can they produce a timeline written on the cover of Madeleine's scribble book, for some inexplicable reason theyfind the strength and composure to write a press release?

(19 Mar 2014) Police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann say they are seeking an intruder who sexually assaulted five girls in the region of southern Portugal where the British toddler was last seen.
Police have linked 12 crimes between 2004 and 2010, in which a man entered holiday villas occupied by British families in Portugal's Algarve region.
In several of those cases, the man sexually assaulted young girls.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood said police wanted to find the tanned, dark-haired man to "ascertain whether these offences are linked to Madeleine's disappearance."
Madeleine vanished from a villa in 2007, shortly before her fourth birthday.
Portuguese police failed to find the missing girl or a culprit, but reopened the case last year.
British detectives are conducting their own investigation.

The theory that Christian Brueckner was living in the VW camper persists for some reason.

He had a huge Winnebago type van, he would surely have been living in that.

I wonder if it was parked somewhere and he was using the VW as a run-around to get from and to it, just a thought.

There is not one shred of evidence Christian B was in any way involved in the disappearance of Madeleine apart from a very dubious source, yet every report on Madeleine has now got to include him.
